Following the announcement of its new nonstop service between Phoenix and Taipei, STARLUX Airlines has unveiled a new strategic partnership with American Airlines, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s expansion into the North American market. This collaboration is set to provide passengers with seamless travel options, connecting more cities across the United States and Asia through a streamlined network.
The partnership offers major conveniences for travelers, including single-ticket booking and through-checked baggage between STARLUX’s transpacific and Asian routes and American Airlines’ North American network. Passengers can now connect to Taipei from destinations such as New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Mexico City, and more.
“We are honored to have the partnership with American Airlines,” STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai said. “The partnership will expand STARLUX’s reach into the U.S., with customers accessing American’s vast network. It will also increase travel choices for American Airlines customers looking to travel to Taipei.”
American Airlines echoed this enthusiasm. “American is delighted to offer more travel options for customers with STARLUX,” said Anmol Bhargava, American’s Senior Vice President of Alliances. “Through this interline partnership, customers can enjoy convenient connections from Taipei to more than 250 destinations in North America. We look forward to working with STARLUX to enhance opportunities for customers.”
The launch of STARLUX’s Taipei-Phoenix route further strengthens the utility of the new partnership. Phoenix, a major hub for American Airlines, offers strategic advantages as a connecting point for travelers moving between Asia and North America.
STARLUX has optimized its Phoenix flight schedules to align with American Airlines’ domestic routes, making onward travel to cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, and Las Vegas more efficient.
Flight JX026 from Taipei lands in Phoenix at 5:40 p.m. local time, giving travelers access to over 40 domestic U.S. destinations via American Airlines. The return flight, JX025, departs Phoenix for Taipei at 10:45 p.m., timed to accommodate incoming American Airlines flights from more than 60 U.S. cities.
