San Diego’s The US Grant will soon be unveiling a $13 million refresh to its luxury accommodations.

The US Grant sits in the exciting Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, close to beaches and more. It was built by President Ulysses S. Grant’s son to be a grand destination for travelers. From then to today, it has undergone some incredible renovations that have made it the luxury destination it is now, while still paying homage to its rich history.

The concepts for The US Grant’s updates were curated by Rodrigo Vargas Design. They worked to make a connection between the city of San Diego, the tribal history of the ownership, and the Presidential namesake.

Updates to The US Grant include a “Presidential” color scheme that pairs navy blues with golds, bold patterns, and details that pay homage to both the past and present of this hotel.

Additionally, guests will notice a new lobby with a  white Carrara marble promenade that welcomes guests indoors. Also new to the lobby are custom area rugs and collector tables that display the hotel’s Kumeyaay artifacts.

The hotel guest rooms also got an update. The addition of red brings out the Presidential theme even more, and contrasts nicely with the black and white Palm tree wall coverings that are representative of the city of San Diego.

The US Grant is located at 326 Broadway, San Diego CA 92101.
