A warm and welcoming outdoor communal fire table is the most recent addition to the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa’s signature restaurant, deseo.
Called La Mezona, the 28-foot, custom-designed granite table features a dancing flame at its center, inviting up to 30 people to dine al fresco with views of the resort’s golf course and garden.
Deseo, which means “desire” in Spanish, offers patrons a unique and lively dining experience with live painting by renowned, resident artist Nelson Garcia-Miranda, and spirited Latin music.
The menu showcases imaginative and bold Latin-influenced dishes with a distinct and skillfully blended combination of flavors and spice. The cuisine is complemented by an award-winning South American wine list and freshly made muddle drinks.
Indoors, guests can enjoy The Rail, the counter surrounding the exhibition kitchen, where diners can watch chefs expertly prepare deseo’s flavorful ceviche dishes, and even discuss the process to walk away with culinary tips, tricks and inspiration.
