The Most Searched Destinations of the Year

Google has released its Year in Search 2019, revealing destinations around the world that experienced the highest increase in searches in the United States from this year to last.

The list showcases the top 10 trending locales. Check out the places Americans searched for “trip to…” the most this year:

  1. Maldives
  2. Japan
  3. Bora Bora
  4. Las Vegas
  5. Mexico
  6. Alaska
  7. New Orleans
  8. California
  9. New York
  10. Costa Rica

It’s no surprise some of these destinations made the list, considering the excitement they’re garnering. For example, Japan is readying to host the 2020 Summer Olympics, the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island recently unveiled the world’s first over-water villa with an underwater bedroom, Vegas will debut the world’s largest sportsbook next year with the opening of Circa Resort & Casino and Mexico boasts three of the Best Small Cities in the World list according to Condé Nast Traveler‘s “2019 Readers’ Choice Awards.” Click here to read more on the latest and greatest happening in Mexico.
