Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU Opens as the City’s Largest Event Space

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU has opened in the heart of downtown Tempe as the largest event and conference space in the city. The lifestyle hotel will serve as a social hub for the community, as well an elevated spot for weekend getaways, wedding destinations and more.

Located at the intersection of University Drive and Mill Avenue, the new hotel features 330 guest rooms and 11 suites, four innovative dining destinations, a rooftop bar and pool, the largest ballroom in Tempe and nearly 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space

The hotel is a $125 million investment as a part of a public-private partnership between ASU and the City of Tempe, featuring design elements that incorporate the culture and landscape of Tempe, ASU’s modern, industrial feel, as well as natural characteristics of the Sonoran Desert.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting time of growth and change in the Tempe community,” says Peter Strebel, Chairman of Omni Hotels & Resorts, in a statement. “Every Omni hotel is inspired by the authentic spirit of the destination. This hotel was inspired by the energy of ASU, the booming growth of Tempe, and the exciting people and tapestry of Arizona.”

Guests can choose to stay in a deluxe, premier or suite-style accommodation that each offers city, mountain or sunset views and are just steps away from the vibrant downtown and local attractions. In addition to in-room dining, guests can indulge in the hotel’s four unique restaurant options, including the third-floor pool bar, Salt & Giza, the rooftop bar and restaurant, Lucero, the elevated cafe, Library Rules and the all day American dining venue, Neighborhood Services.

When guests aren’t exploring local entertainment and venues or taking advantage of Tempe’s culinary offerings, the rooftop pool is the perfect place to soak in the sun and relax in a private cabana, while the state-of-the-art fitness center with Pelotons offers a convenient space for working out.

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is also the ideal place for meetings and events with a range of fully-equipped meeting rooms, pre-function spaces, theaters and ballrooms that offer event managing, catering services, videoconferencing, LCD projectors, security guards and more—all conveniently located on ASU’s campus and within a ten minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

In celebration of the hotel’s freshman year, guests can book the Freshman Limited Time Offer through May 31, 2023 to lock in rates starting at $185 per night, or save up to 20% off when staying three nights or more with the Longer Days, Longer Stays Package through September 28, 2023.
