Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea will conduct a six-night, five-day all-inclusive “Ultimate Health and Wellness Immersion Retreat,” May 20-26, 2015, led by the Resort’s wellness consultant Mark Emerson, DC, CCSP and a group of world-class health experts and culinary professionals. The program is an extension of the Resort’s “Wellness Your Way,” an innovative program presented by The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Maui to help guests achieve optimal health.
According to Emerson, who is a Doctor of Chiropractic specialized in clinical nutrition and natural treatment methods for patients of all ages, this health and wellness immersion retreat will offer guest participants a complete lifestyle recharge and will help guests learn to maintain lifelong good health. Emerson will be joined by a group of renowned health and wellness experts and culinary chefs:
- Michael Greger, MD, physician, author and internally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety and public health issues. He is currently Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at The Humane Society;
- Michael Klaper, MD, physician, author, teacher and speaker on diet and health. He is a physician in private practice;
- Chad Sarno, chef, who has served as culinary media spokesperson for Whole Foods Market’s global healthy eating program and is currently Vice President, Plant-Based Education, Rouxbe Online Culinary School;
- Craig Dryhurst, chef, Four Seasons Resort Maui, who designed the Resort’s Wellness Menu in collaboration with Dr. Emerson.

Emerson adds that the speakers will present a series of insightful health and wellness presentations covering nutrition, chronic disease, weight issues, food addictions, cravings, and stress management and motivation. The retreat also will include a comprehensive health analysis with blood lab, a nutrition evaluation, a findings report and health risk assessment held in a private one-on-one setting.
The retreat will include six nights of luxurious accommodations at the Resort. Each guest participant also will receive a post immersion follow-up consultation with Emerson, an event workbook and a wellness-oriented excursion. In addition, three healthy cooking classes are included and healthy, fresh and delicious meals will be served each day.
The all-inclusive immersion retreat pricing is: $7,750 per person based on double occupancy; $7,430 per person based on triple occupancy; $9,350 single occupancy. Single participant plus single non-participant, and non-lodging event participant rates are also available.
