Arizona’s 2 Largest Ski Resorts are Now Open for the Season

Arizonians don’t have to travel far to hit the slopes. Now open for the winter season, Arizona Snowbowl and Sunrise Park Resort are two of the state’s largest ski resorts that are just a few hours’ drive north from Phoenix. Here’s what you need to know.

Arizona Snowbowl

Now open for the season, Arizona Snowbowl is located North of Flagstaff on the western slope of Mount Humphreys, the tallest mountain point in the state, along the San Francisco Peaks. Lift tickets start at $32, based on date and demand, and kids under 12 years old ski free.

Sunrise Park Resort

Located 14 miles northwest of Flagstaff, Sunrise Park Resort is also open for skiing, snowboarding, ski biking, tubing and more, offering the most ski runs and acreage in Arizona for winter sports. Pricing varies by age, date and either half-day, full-day or evening tickets.
