It’s Aloha Friday at Kukuiula

Happy Aloha Friday! Also known as TGIF, Aloha Friday is a day where Hawaiian employers allow their employees to wear an aloha shirt on the last business day of the week, akin to casual Fridays in the States.

In the early 1960s, the Hawaiian Fashion Guild began promoting Hawaiian print shirts, or Aloha shirts, as business attire. Fascinatingly enough, the Aloha mindset got to be so popular that a resolution was passed in the Hawaii Senate recommending that Aloha attire be worn throughout the summer.

At Kukuiula, the Aloha lifestyle is 24/7 with breathtaking beaches, stunning wildlife and amazing outdoor activities.

Located on is the island of Kauai, Kukuiula is Hawaii’s most luxurious private club. The Poìpῡ beach area lies to the east of the community offering extraordinary beach views along with the National Tropical Botanical Garden to the west and historic Old Koloa Town to the north.

With an 18-hole golf course, fresh farm, spa and fitness facilities, shopping and more, the best of island life is all in one place at the 1,000-acre Kukuiula village.

Residents can live in the best accommodation that complement their lifestyle – from custom homes, turnkey cottages, bungalows and villas, to condos or lots for sale where guests can build their dream home from the ground up.
