La Quinta Resort & Club

As Arizonans make travel plans this Winter and Spring, they continue to seek nearby, road trip destinations for outdoor- and wellness-driven escapes.

Offering regional travelers a relaxing naturally distanced getaway, the historic La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is excited to safely reintroduce its award-winning spa programming and culinary prowess at the signature restaurant, Morgan’s in the Desert following months of closure.

Set against the rugged Santa Rosa Mountains across a sprawling 45 acres, the iconic La Quinta Resort & Club offers award-winning outdoor wellness, culinary, and new fitness activities for a well-balanced retreat.

  • Self-Care Spa Day: After months of limited pampering opportunities, the pristine escape at Spa La Quinta has officially reopened to guests with enhanced safety measures and limited capacity, offering the perfect oasis for self-care “me” day. Guests can now book rejuvenating treatments such as customizable massages and facials, as well as hair & nail salon services Friday through Sunday from 9am to 6pm. Those planning a weekend escape can now opt for the “Spa Getaway” package for a holistic wellness escape at La Quinta Resort & Club, inclusive of overnight accommodations, daily al fresco breakfast for two at TWENTY6, a daily $200 credit to Spa La Quinta, unlimited outdoor fitness classes, and a waived resort fee.

  • Opt Outside and Get Moving: In addition to the newly reopened Spa, La Quinta Resort & Club offers an array of new outdoor fitness programming, including daily yoga classes led by expert instructors; spin classes in the newly configured Spin Courtyard; guided stretching classes, and meditation; and organized 2.6-mile runs organized seasonally by Director of Tennis and Fitness, Kevin Connolly.

  • Desert Dining: La Quinta Resort & Club’s signature dining experience, Morgan’s in the Desert, has officially reopened to guests for outdoor dining. Featuring a new menu of contemporary American cuisine featuring the bounty of the Coachella Valley alongside a creative bar program, Morgan’s in the Desert is open Thursday through Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm. Menu highlights include Ahi Tuna Tartare with Dragonfruit, Avocado Puree, Pomegranate, Pickled Charlotte, Sesame, Jalapeno, Chevril, Bonito Flakes, and Chile Threads; and Maple Leaf Farm Duck Breast with Saffron Hollandaise, Citrus, Carrot Reduction, Asparagus, Baby Carrot; alongside innovative cocktails like the Mezcal Prickly Pear Punch with Casamigos Silver Tequila, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, prickly pear, and a float of El Silencio Espadin Mezcal.

As of last week, they have reopened its spa, introduced new outdoor fitness offerings, and have re-opened its signature restaurant—Morgan’s in the Desert—for outdoor dining with a new menu.
