Surrounded by fishponds, verdant gardens and colorful coves are 333 guest rooms and suites along with five 4,000-sq.-ft. two-bedroom private bungalows, each with their own private swimming pool and spa. Three pools, five restaurants and lounges, a signature spa and two top-ranked golf courses treat guests to the island life.

Highlights of the newly opened resort include signature beachfront restaurant CanoeHouse, featuring organic and sustainably harvested ingredients. The culinary team has teamed up with local farmers, fishermen, ranchers and food artisans and created a menu in celebration of the island’s unique bounty.

To really dive into the island’s identity, Hale ‘I’ike (the House of Knowledge) is a cultural center filled with musical instruments, museum-quality artifacts and historic books. Local native Danny Akaka is on hand for guests to learn about the surrounding land and history. Danny and his team also lead education tours and host night events during each full moon.

Those looking to conquer the waves can head to Kainalu Sports, a recreation program guided by world-class athletes where guests can enjoy a diverse menu of activities, from stand-up paddle boarding to canoeing and more.
