Our weather is beautiful, our sunsets amazing, shrimp are fresh, water’s still warm and life is just a little slower on the beach in Rocky Point. Fall is a perfect time to visit our fishing village by the sea. Fall is the time of harvest and when you’re looking for a piece of paradise where you can “harvest” the good life one moment at a time Rocky Point is the place to be. You’ll step back in time and enjoy the energy of days gone by; a little less traffic….no, a lot less traffic for starters. Strolling on the beach with a fresh cup of coffee is a beautiful way to start the day and going for a sunset walk at dusk you’ll capture the pristine ocean with a brilliant sky. It is bliss, fun and so much more.
Golfing is great this time of year. You can view the golf opportunities in the Join Us newspaper. They even have a coupon in the October issue. Golfing with the ocean breeze is a nice way to enjoy life. From Laguna Shores to Las Palomas to Mayan Palace you’ll love a game of golf in Rocky Point.
Who can resist watching children at play on the beach? Rocky Point beaches are the best for family activities. Watch a child find a treasure; you’ll see his eyes light up and his smile says it all. They can find so many creatures on our white sand beach (shells, crabs, clams, and even baby lobster). Cholla Bay has an incredible change in tides and is exceptional for every age. Exploring, taking your time and being one with nature is a
treasure in itself.
How about a good old fashioned barbeque? Sonoran beef is exported around the world as one of the best beef products available. You can buy filets for $6.00 each! They are delicious! How about a burger or “carne asada”? Get your grill ready, have a cold beer in hand, some fun music on, friends and family to share it with and you’re good to go!
This week-end October 11 through 13 Rocky Point has the 5th Jazz and Art Festival at Penasco del Sol. There will be musical performances by the sea headlined by the Phoenix area jazz and salsa group Carmela y Mas. The festival is for children and adults with the main performance being Saturday evening. Art will be displayed in the hotel lobby. Penasco del Sol is offering specials for the week-end.
Rocky Point has charm, character and can’t be beat for creating family traditions. All you have to do is say “YES” let’s go to Rocky Point and experience an adventure by the sea. Stop waiting for tomorrow. Live life today and come to Rocky Point you’ll be so glad you did. We came in 1977 and we’re building our “Legacy” by the sea with love and gratitude; so can you!
