On October 31 from 3-6pm, enjoy trick or treating, carnival games, music, food and drinks, while 100% of donations will be split evenly to benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the El Dorado Community Foundation’s Caldor Fire Fund. All donations up to a total of $50,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by Desolation Hotel and Maggie’s Restaurant and Bar, with the goal of raising $100,000.

Conveniently located at 933 Poplar St. at the site of the old Tahoe Villa Motel in South Lake Tahoe, the new Desolation Hotel will feature 21 signature townhomes, studios and suites that blend Japanese tranquility with Scandinavian design. Guest experiences will include seasonal fare at Maggie’s Restaurant & Bar, in-room soaking tubs on outside balconies, outdoor saltwater pool and Japanese-inspired jacuzzi, Peloton-studded fitness studio, onsite marketplace, electric vehicle charging stations, a dog lounge, and shared private beach access.

Please visit www.desolationhotel.com for more information. For those unable to attend the Spookytacular Halloween event but would still like to support, donations can be made online at www.safecitiesfoundation.networkforgood.com.
