Meet Ranger Ainsley, The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain’s Newest Ambassador

Guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain have a new face greeting them upon arrival. Meet Ranger Ainsley, a two-year-old Labrador Retriever and the resort’s official Guest Ambassador and member of the Ritz Kids Rangers team. The lovable pup is available for hugs and puppy kisses from visitors of all ages and has been named Critter-in-Chief!

After undergoing two full years of training at Canine Companions for Independence, the resort was able to adopt the pup. The program, which is a partner of the resort’s, is a non-profit which grants highly trained assistance dogs to military vets and children and adults with disabilities. Only a small percentage of pup participants make the cut and Ainsley is very proud of his achievement.

Ainsley has undergone mandatory Ritz-Carlton orientation and has been trained where he can and can’t go around the resort. He’s also been able to experience resort offerings like in-room dining and more. As his new duties on site, he will be available for photo ops and serve as an official lobby greeter and taste-tester for the resort’s canine menu. He will participate in Ritz Kids reading sessions, welcome activities, guest engagement programs and holiday events. He will also provide gifts for any four-legged guests visiting. And during the upcoming season, he will be the huggable holiday ambassador. He’s especially looking forward to the resort’s tree-lighting ceremony on Dec. 8.

Ainsley will not only spread smiles among guests, but he will also be a key member of the Community Footprints program, providing support to area non-profit organizations with a focus on assisting at-risk children and families and those in need of food, shelter and basic human care.
