Las Vegas CEO Gifting 1K Free Flights on First Come, First Serve Basis

Sounds like there’s a catch? There’s not.

Derek Stevens, the CEO and owner of the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, both located on the world-famous Fremont Street Experience and reopening on June 4, is working to reignite Vegas’ tourism through his Keep America Flying promotion. Intended to stimulate the city’s tourism and the airline industry, the promotion will gift 1,000 free one-way flights to participants on a first come, first serve basis. All participants have to do is sign up at theD.com on June 4 and cross their fingers.

The free one-way flights will be offered from 20 major U.S. cities including Phoenix and are available through American carriers including Allegiant, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines and Sun Country Airlines from eligible cities. Once registered, guests can choose from several flight options and reservations, which will be arranged through the concierge team at the D.

Flight recipients will be responsible for their return flights, accommodations and all other costs associated with their stay.

“As we begin to reopen our doors across the city, we are proud to help reinvigorate travel to Las Vegas while supporting airlines in America impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. We can’t wait to safely bring visitors to the city and remind them why we’ve earned the title of ‘Entertainment Capital of the World.’ And while we’d love for visitors to stop by Downtown Las Vegas, we primarily want to get people back to Las Vegas to experience the attractions and amenities that make it one of the greatest places on Earth.”
