Great Wolf Lodge Arizona will begin welcoming guests October 17, 2019. The family friendly resort will feature 350 guest rooms, along with an 85,000-square-foot indoor waterpark. The new resort, which is the brand’s first Arizona property, will be located adjacent to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
“Great Wolf Lodge Arizona will provide families in the Southwest with a unique and fun-filled resort experience both in and out of the waterpark,” says Mark Rucker, Regional Vice President of Operations for Great Wolf Resorts’ Western Region. “Our Scottsdale location will offer a place where joy is found around every corner and memories are waiting to be created – no matter the desert weather. It’s the ideal family getaway with a wide array of attractions, dining, shopping, entertainment and daily activities all within the walls of our resort.”Mark Rucker, Regional VP of Operations, Great Wolf Resorts Western Region
Guests can choose from eight different suite types, accommodating up to 13 guests in the premium suites. There will also be themed suites, like the KidCabin Suite and Wolf Den Suite, which will have a separate, themed sleeping area for kids complete with bunk beds, wall murals, TVs and other fun surprises.
The resort’s focal point, the 85,000-square-foot waterpark, will be heated to 84 degrees year round and will include a variety of body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools, and splash areas for every member of the family. The resort also will feature a massive outdoor resort pool with additional water attractions for families to enjoy together. Details on the waterpark attractions will be released in April.
Out of the water, there will be plenty more to do. The Great Wolf Adventure Park, a 27,000-square-foot family entertainment center, will include MagiQuest, the brand’s exclusive live-action adventure game; Howlers Peak Ropes Course; Howl In One Miniature Golf Course, Ten Paw Alley family bowling; and the Northern Lights™ Arcade. Youngsters can enjoy Yoga Tails, a fun and creative yoga class set to engaging stories along with crafts and interactive science experiments. Families can end the day with Story Time in the lobby, a nightly gathering that culminates with a high-energy dance party.
The resort will have several restaurants and food outlets onsite including Barnwood, whose menu features a fresh and ever-changing array of dishes based on seasonality; and Hungry as a Wolf, serving handcrafted pizza and pasta. To assist families with food allergies, all kitchen facilities at Great Wolf Lodge are peanut and tree nut free, and special dietary requests can be submitted before arriving to the resort.
