Nothing says “self care” like a visit to Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale and on June 8, the resort is hosting a lineup of complimentary activities in celebration of Global Wellness Day.
The day will feature activities that will be easy to replicate at home like Tai Chi, a mindfulness walk, a relaxation and meditation session, how to craft your own customized body butter, how to make health-focused cocktails and more. Activities are open to both resort and local guests.
6 a.m. Guided Mindfulness Walk
Calm the body and mind with a 60-minute walk starting at The Spa. The walk will be led by resort instructors and will incorporate mindfulness exercises along the way.
7 a.m. Tai Chi on the Lawn
Experience the calming effects of this mindful martial arts through this one-hour class led by a professional Tai Chi instructor. Using simple and repetitive movements, Tai Chi is ideal for any age or fitness level.
8 a.m. Guided Relaxation and Meditation
It’s no surprise that meditation helps to reduce stress, improve concentration and lower blood pressure among other benefits. This one-hour guided group class will teach participants tools for releasing stress and achieving optimum relaxation and introspection.
10 to 11:30 a.m. Aroma Design Bar Blending Experience
Drop in to The Spa for creative blending of all natural Body Bliss products. Guided by an expert, guests can explore dozens of aromatherapy combos for their ideal custom-blended body butter or body polish with all-natural essential oils. Guests will get to take a complimentary sample to enjoy at home.
4:30 p.m. Healthy Happy Hour Cocktail Demonstrations
Learn to craft balanced cocktails with the resort’s team of mixologists during this one-hour demonstration. Learn to use healthy ingredients that still taste great like fresh fruits, herbs, alternatives to sugar and more. Sip up drinks like the Kombucha Margarita, featuring turmeric and wild honey kombucha; Scottsdale Shandy, made with matcha; and a Whiskey Sour, made with honey and sage.
The resort is also offering fitness classes throughout the day like yoga, spin and strength and tone.
