Grand Hyatt Los Cabos Resort, Golf & Spa is bringing a new luxury resort experience to Baja California Sur, with an oceanfront setting that puts the region’s desert-meets-sea landscape at the center of the stay.

Set within Oleada Pacific Living & Golf, an oceanfront resort community spanning more than 860 acres, the resort sits along a mile-long stretch of golden-sand beach. It is approximately 40 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, with access from major U.S. markets including Phoenix and Scottsdale.

The resort has 301 rooms and suites, each designed to take advantage of the surrounding landscape. Coastal-inspired interiors, natural light, private balconies or terraces and marble bathrooms are paired with select features such as ocean views, soaking tubs, plunge pools and swim-out access.

The resort’s “carved from the desert” concept uses low, terraced structures that follow the natural topography and frame views of the Pacific Ocean. Earth-toned concrete, natural stone, sand-finished plaster and warm wood create a palette inspired by the surrounding landscape, while shaded loggias, recessed openings and woven details add references to local craftsmanship.

Food and drinks are also a major part of the experience, with 11 dining concepts spread throughout the resort. Options range from Mexican and coastal Italian cuisine to Pan-Asian specialties, international dishes, poolside fare, coffee and craft cocktails. Among the resort’s dining concepts are Lotus Kitchen, Casa Lido, Brasamar, Sekai, Agave Bar, Pachanga and Sunset Rooftop Bar.

For those looking to slow down, the Kahál Spa offers 12 private treatment cabins, personalized treatments and hydrotherapy experiences. Guests can also take part in steam and sauna rituals and a traditional temazcal experience as part of the Baja-inspired wellness offerings. Golfers have access to an 18-hole course designed by Ernie Els, set against the desert and Pacific Ocean backdrop.

There is plenty to keep guests occupied beyond the golf course and spa, including four family-friendly pools, an adults-only pool, three pickleball courts, beach activities, fitness classes, daily programming and live entertainment. Kids’ and teens’ clubs add options for families and multigenerational groups.

The resort is also designed for larger gatherings, with more than 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The 12,809-square-foot Grand Ballroom offers flexible configurations, while the 7,787-square-foot Central Garden provides an outdoor setting surrounded by landscaping and views of the surrounding landscape.
