Classic Hotels & Resorts (CH&R), a family-owned and operated hotel collection, with seven properties and more than 1,100 employees across Arizona and California, has launched its Healthcare Heroes campaign. The initiative will donate 500 room nights (in 2-night packages) to 250 recipients in the healthcare field currently fighting on the front lines of COVID-19.
Led by President John Grossman and his wife Virginia (Ginna), CH&R’s goal is to provide hope and well-deserved R&R to those whose selfless actions are savings lives in the midst of this pandemic.
“We want to give back, we want to give our healthcare heroes something to look forward to,” says Ginna. “It is my hope that people near and far will nominate their own local healthcare heroes – by sharing their stories along with a video or photo. When this is all over, it will be our privilege and honor to invite those who are laying it all on the line for us right now to come stay at a property of their choosing – tons of TLC included.”
How to Help
Nominate a Healthcare Worker
Nominations can be made via the #Hospitality4HealthcareHeroes page or by tagging submission posts celebrating nominees on their favorite CH&R hotel Instagram and/or Twitter accounts. Simply tag your nominee, explain why you are nominating them and tag #Hospitality4HealthcareHeroes and any one of Classic Hotels & Resorts’ properties (see below). A total of 250 recipients will be selected at random and awarded a 2-night stay at any Classic Hotels & Resorts property. Submissions are accepted through May 15 with recipients notified the week of May 18.

“Nomination posts will be actively reposted so that we may help share individual stories, sacrifices, successes, and thanks for one another’s local heroes,” says Ginna.

While John works to save the family business and restore as many jobs as possible, Ginna is focusing on helping their nearly 900 furloughed employees and their families. With the help of the CH&R extended family, they’ve launched Bringing Our Family Through the Storm GoFundMe to help get direct cash for groceries and other essential needs to their much-appreciated associates, of which nearly 900 are currently furloughed.
