The City of Angels is welcoming an array of new hotels this year. Here’s five of our favorites for your next Cali getaway.
The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood

Situated just one block south of Sunset Blvd., the new Godfrey Hotel will channel the glam of Hollywood with the laidback vibe of SoCal. Think clean, contemporary rooms with touches of gold and views of the bustling city. A rooftop pool and lounge will be the daytime getaway on the seventh floor. For dining, guests can relax at a lobby bar or dive into good eats at the casual steakhouse, cheekily named About Last Knife.
Fairmont Century Plaza

The new Fairmont is opening in a truly historic LA piece of real estate. The luxe hotel is taking over what used to be the Century Plaza Hotel which opened in 1966 on the former back lot of 20th Century Fox Studios. The large hotel will have 400 guest rooms available to book plus a rooftop swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, retail spaces, a 14,000-square-foot spa and multitude of food and beverage outlets. Its event spaces will offer nearly 24,000 square feet of options including the ballroom which has hosted iconic names like Bob Hope, Clark Gable, Muhammad Ali, Lucille Ball and many U.S. presidents, among others.

The Hoxton Downtown LA

The new Hoxton will please any theater buff with its heart-of-Broadway location. Nestled amongst the city’s oldest theaters, the building once served as the LA Railway Authority. When it reopens as the new chic 10-story hotel, guests will be able to enjoy glimpses of neon-lit Broadway from their rooms. Glam guest room details include chevron timber floors, bold accent walls, copper and brass finishings, marble surfaces and more. A lobby bar and basement bar will serve up drinks and snacks, while a rooftop pool will provide the perfect spot for soaking up the California sun.
