The Nation’s First Ever Ski Resort is Expanding

Sun Valley Resort in Ketchum, Idaho, a favorite among celebs and avid skiers since it opened in 1936, has announced it will be expanding for the 2020/2021 ski season. The resort will add 380 acres of skiable terrain.

Those who can’t wait can enjoy the newly renovated Sun Valley Inn this season which features new food and beverage options and 97 redesigned and restored guest rooms. While the exterior of the historic Sun Valley Inn is reminiscent of an Austrian ski chalet, the rooms and restaurants have been given a modern update. Warm Springs Lodge has also been renovated with a new bar, one of the West’s most famous Idaho potato bars, and additional food and drink outlets.

Visit before the snow falls and take advantage of the resort’s fall golf package.
