Fall is making its way onto the menu at Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen at Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows, where seasonal ingredients are being paired with Mediterranean techniques and scratch-made cooking. The restaurant’s fall menu continues its modern approach, drawing on local ingredients, seasonal flavors and culinary influences from throughout the region.
House-made pasta remains a centerpiece, with fresh pasta prepared daily for rotating specials and signature dishes. New dinner offerings include acorn squash agnolotti with quince, goat cheese and walnut; beef cheek with chive pasta and petite vegetables; branzino with romesco, fennel and scallion.
There’s the Tuscan kale salad with Marcona almond, date, apple, feta and maple balsamic vinaigrette; and roasted beets with pomegranate, pink peppercorn, mint and honey lemon yogurt. The fall dessert menu adds orange phyllo cake with mascarpone gelato and pistachios, along with Greek yogurt panna cotta served with fresh figs, vanilla sable and honeycomb.
The restaurant’s pastry program, led by Executive Pastry Chef Berenice Morales, is also getting a seasonal update. New offerings include a house-made cinnamon apple scone, house-made pumpkin muffin, Noble Coffee crumb muffin and house-made butter croissant, each priced at $9. Specialty fall drinks include a honey oat shaken espresso and pumpkin spice latte, priced at $16.
The restaurant’s open-exhibition kitchen also plays into its focus on scratch cooking. Guests interested in learning more can take part in Pasta Like a Pro, a hands-on pasta-making class offered Thursdays at 2 p.m. for $65 per person.
“Fall in the Sonoran Desert doesn’t look like fall anywhere else, and this menu is our way of interpreting that through a modern Mediterranean lens,” said Nathaniel Marcus, executive sous chef. “For us, the most interesting part of creating a new menu isn’t simply putting seasonal ingredients on a plate but finding the technique or flavor that changes how our guests experience that ingredient.”
