Designed for children ages 4 to 12, the program replaces the traditional resort day camp with enrichment-focused activities that combine creativity, outdoor exploration and imaginative play. The experience embraces a “play with purpose” philosophy, giving young guests opportunities to learn while making memories along one of California’s most celebrated beaches.
One of the program’s biggest draws is its rotating seasonal curriculum, ensuring returning families can enjoy something new with each visit. Activities range from themed art projects, including Hotel del Coronado blueprint-inspired creations, to outdoor discovery sessions and classic lawn games that take full advantage of the resort’s sprawling oceanfront grounds.
The partnership also introduces a first for the resort: private, in-room childcare. Available for children as young as 3 months old, the service allows families to book one-on-one care with trained hospitality childcare professionals who have completed emotional intelligence assessments, background checks and CPR certification. Whether parents are enjoying a spa treatment, dinner or simply a quiet afternoon by the pool, the personalized service offers additional flexibility during their stay.
Ocean Explorers Kids Club is also designed with convenience in mind. In addition to hotel guests, the program is open to resort members and day visitors, making it an option for local families looking to enjoy a day at The Del. Parents can choose from hourly, half-day or full-day sessions, allowing them to customize the experience around their vacation plans.
