Winter Serenity and Celebration at Amangiri

As winter descends upon the desert, Amangiri emerges as a tranquil sanctuary within Southern Utah’s red-rock canyons. Spread across more than 900 acres on the Colorado Plateau, the resort and its luxury tented retreat, Camp Sarika, embody a rare harmony between serenity and adventure.

Guests find themselves surrounded by vast silence, sculpted mesas, and the shifting hues of desert light, with 34 modernist suites, an expansive Aman Spa, and a pool that flows seamlessly into the landscape. For a deeper connection to nature, Camp Sarika’s ten tented pavilions offer a more immersive, elemental escape.

This winter, Amangiri invites travelers to rediscover wellness and wonder through new seasonal offerings designed to reflect the rhythm of the desert. Under endless blue skies and cool, crisp air, guests can embark on sunrise yoga atop Tower Butte – reached via private helicopter – or hike into the mesas for Yoga on the Rocks.

As evening falls, the air cools and the desert’s stillness deepens, giving way to fireside gatherings and meditative rituals like the Sunset Mindfulness Walk, Sound Bowl Therapy, and Full Moon Yoga Nidra.

The Aman Spa unveiled new restorative treatments inspired by the land itself. Guests can indulge in the Utah Salt & Clay Treatment, combining ancient sea salt and desert bentonite, or explore therapies like Percussion & Cryo-Roller Therapy and Shirodhara with Hand & Foot Paraffin.

In partnership with Aman’s Global Wellness Advisor Novak Djokovic, the resort also introduced a three-day Detoxification Programme. This guided journey blends Djokovic’s holistic approach to fitness with Amangiri’s elemental energy, offering therapies such as Cryo & Thermal Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Sound Bowl Healing to promote physical renewal and inner clarity.

From December 23 through January 1, Amangiri’s Festive Season celebrates global traditions with a desert twist. Each day unfolds with wellness sessions, hikes, and afternoon tea. Evenings bring champagne, s’mores, live music, stargazing, and workshops highlighting Native American artistry.

Guests can savor Champagne and Caviar on Christmas Eve, enjoy breakfast with Santa on Christmas Day, and welcome the new year with meditations, hikes, and a celebratory dinner under the stars.

In winter, Amangiri does much the same for the soul: transforming stillness into luxury, simplicity into ritual, and the desert itself into an unforgettable, restorative journey. Learn more at aman.com.
