How did you get started in the design/build industry? I actually started on the commercial side of the field after graduating from Arizona State with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture. After a few years, I decided to try the residential side and since has made up the majority of the work I do. I enjoy the client relationships and friendships developed.

What is your favorite project in Arizona? That’s a tough one! Probably one of my all-time favorites was a remodel in Gilbert that was my first big project after starting my business.  They wanted really unique concepts and since I was now in full control of the design, I was ready to bring it!

What inspires you and your work? My work is inspired by so many things – innovation, travels, materials, artists. It is really a culmination of all of my experiences.

What is something timeless every home should have? Artwork that speaks to you, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. If it evokes emotion or brings back a fond memory, it will be timeless in your eyes.

What is considered trendy in homes at this time? Warm neutrals.

What do you consider your biggest professional accomplishment? Winning Best of Show at the ASID Design Excellence Awards was certainly a highlight, since it is determined by a jury of peers.

What advice do you have for young people or students hoping to pursue a design/build career? Find your motivation and passion – it will be critical to your career and your well-being.

What are you working on now? Some really exceptional projects including a spa and a yacht along with other exciting residential projects.
