Most Influential in Valley Education: Sister Joan Fitzgerald, BVM, Principal, Xavier College Preparatory

Also a 2015 winner!

Biggest professional accomplishment? Working with Xavier’s faculty members, parents and community to develop our school campus from its single original building to the incredible place that it is today. In addition to our many innovative teaching spaces, we have a beautiful Chapel, a state-of- the-art performing arts center, robotics and making spaces, technology and language labs, fine arts studios, a student union and cafeteria, and top- notch athletic facilities.

Most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is being able to work with outstanding teachers who bring an amazing amount of talent, creativity and innovation to Xavier.

What influence do you hope to have on the Valley? I hope to continue to educate the young women of Arizona in faith and knowledge to prepare them not only for college, but for a lifetime of success and stewardship.
