Most Influential in the Valley Tourism: Rachel Sacco and Debbie Johnson

by Melissa Larsen

Experience Scottsdale President and CEO Rachel Sacco vividly recalls enjoying sundaes at Sugar Bowl as a child—and it is memories such as those that led her back to promote tourism to the area. What’s new for Sacco and Experience Scottsdale this year? “Experience Scottsdale is stepping more into that management role by collaborating with civic leaders on the vision of our community, supporting economic development efforts, and working toward creating better experiences for our visitors.” @scottsdaleaz , @Scottsdaleariz.

Even though we’ve barely made a dent in 2018, Debbie Johnson, director of Arizona Office of Tourism, is already working on plans for promoting our fine state in 2019. “Tourism is a valuable industry for our economy, which makes it even more important for us to have a strong marketing program in place to attract domestic and international visitors to Arizona.” @debjohnsonaz
