AFM: In a brief 2-3 sentences, please tell us a little bit about you —
Erica Mendoza (EM): A girl born and raised in Arizona who believed in her self and took the leap of faith when she decided to freelance full-time. What a ride it’s been!
AFM: What does it mean to you to be a Best of Our Valley winner?
EM: It’s an honor to be recognized amongst the best of the west in the best publication in the Valley. Winning. Totally kidding! I am very grateful for the feature.
AFM: In your opinion, what is the best part about being the Best of Our Valley’s Best Makeup Feed on Instagram?
EM: The support I had during the process from family, friends, and clients who voted me in. They help remind me why I started this journey in the first place
AFM: Have you seen any benefits as a result of being a BOOV winner?
EM: A huge benefit would be that it allows you to be featured among the best. Being an entrepreneur means you do your own marketing.
AFM: How do you put your “best” foot forward every day?
EM: I take care of myself mentally and physically. I stay in my lane. I am always prepared. I help others.
