Off Roading Meets Drag Racing Meets Jeep

For those Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts who have always dreamed of combining the off road power + interior space of a Jeep with the lightning fast speeds and sleek stylings of a super sport (Think Bugatti, LFA, etc…) , the aftermarket performance optimization outfit Hennessey is shaking you awake, just to let you know that your dreams have become a reality.

The new Hennessey HPE800 Twin Turbo is based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.  The STR8 normally packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 – numbers which are impressive without any upgrading – but Hennessey has topped it out to 7.0 liters and bolted a pair of turbochargers to it.  The vehicle also gets an upgraded transmission and torque converted, plus 20-inch wheels on a lowered suspension with 15.1-inch Brembo brakes, and a reworked fascia with a carbon fiber splitter up front.

Running 0-60 mph in roughly 3 seconds, this car is perfect for the Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts wants to get away for a weekend off the beaten path in the Arizona mountains, but also may need to split fast.  This may come across as a rare demographic, which it is.  Hennessey understands this, which is why they have opted to produce only 24 this year:

“We’ve built dozens of 600-800 hp Jeep SRT8s over the past five years, so we have an existing client base who will want to upgrade the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 to an even higher level”, said company founder and president, John Hennessey. “This vehicle is designed for the performance minded driver who lives in Aspen or Moscow and wants to be the fastest in all weather conditions.”

A car this grand and unbelievable does not come cheap.  Ordering directly from Hennessey one can expect to face a starting price of $235k.  And thats without floor mats.

Phoenix Valley automotive enthusiasts who wish to view and test drive the new 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8( the normal one) can do so at their local Phoenix Valley area Jeep dealer.
