Spring 2009 Shopping at Dillard’s

If you haven’t noticed, Dillard’s has long shed their typical department store reputation and embraced a totally new and contemporary look. Just pop into Dillard’s at Scottsdale Fashion Square to see for yourself their new upscale collections from brands we love like Ella Moss.

It’s exciting to see a megabrand like Dillard’s revamping their reputation and keeping up with all the newest, latest, hottest trends. And speaking of, here’s a few I spotted for myself on the Web site that’s sure to have you wanting to pop into the store  and take a look for yourself.

I’m really feeling fun, flirty skirts this season so I went ahead and picked out a few. With a long, lean tank, some wedges or nice flats it’s such and easy breezy summery look.  I like how cheeky this yellow Plastic Island skirt is.

This one is definitely a bit bolder, but the fun bright colors of this Walter watercolor-print skirt is irresistible. You can wear it with an equally bright tank as shown above, though I’d go for basic white or black and keep the focus all on the skirt.

This Gianni Bini skirt is super cute and casual. Makes me think of tennis girl skirts.

Personally, I think each spring every girl should have that perfect white skirt. Whether for formal occasions like weddings, a day of shopping or perhaps a cruise vacay, the perfect white skirt is a definite spring staple.

There will always be a need for a great black clutch. This Gianni Bini large black clutch would be my pick for this spring.

For daytime, a carryall is absolutely essential. Also essential, I love to have a white or cream-colored bag for spring and I totally heart this DKNY cream-colored satchel. It’s the perfect example of that perfect spring bag.

These Vince Camuto “Dries” sandals are a definite show-stopper. They definitely channel that gladiatoresque feel and the gold color makes them easy to pair with just about any outfit. I’d sport with a cute dress or one of the swingy skirts posted above.

I’m not always into beading on sandals, but for this Jessica Simpson “Hogan” sandal, it definitely works. White linen pants, skirt or a summer dress would be the perfect resort-ready look for these.

Love this Calvin Klein “Petra” stilletto. Great for a night out on the town.

Print shoes were a big spring trend as well. This pair of BCBGirls print shoes would be a great match for a solid-color summer dress.

  1. Yep it’s true Dillards is way cuter than it used to be! I heard Jessica Simpson was there on Saturday did anyone see her???

  2. Dillars has really great stuff. their bridal section and eveningwear section is awesome too- its a well kept secret.

  3. The skirts do nothing for me, but I do like the Calvin Klein heel. I saw that shoe this weekend in a silver metallic flat, the fringe is really soft, I liked it.
