It’s time to trade in your LBD for a LWD (little white dress). Just in time for summer, Rebecca Taylor has introduced a “little white dress” capsule collection. The nine-piece collection can take you from brunch on the boardwalk in a classic white eyelet dress to a night out on the town in a glamorous fitted number.

Style Files got the inside scoop from Rebecca herself on her new collection:

AFM: Which dresses from the collection would you wear for specific occasions?
RT:
I think each of the dresses could be worn for a different occasion – it’s part of the reason I did a little white dress collection – the versatility! I love the Short-Sleeve Text Flippy Dress for a nice dinner, the Sleeveless Embroidered Flare Dress is a lovely option for a brunch with friends, and the Short-Sleeve Eyelet Dress is perfect for a day at the beach.

AFM: Are there certain styles you’d recommend for particular body types?
RT: I think the Short-Sleeve Eyelet Dress with Drawstring is great for those wanting to accentuate their waist without wearing something too revealing. The Sleeveless Text Bell Dress is great for petites. The Short-Sleeve Poplin Dress with Mesh I think is universally flattering – it has a defined waist but the longer sleeve, flattering cotton poplin and midi length make it a go-to dress for all body types.

AFM: How would you accessorize a LWD?
RT:
I think it depends on the style – for a more dressed-up look, I would definitely pair a LWD with a bright pump or sandal and bag. For a more casual look, a metallic flat sandal looks really polished.

AFM: Besides the Rebecca Taylor store at Scottsdale Fashion Square, where else can Arizona customers find your LWD capsule collection?
RT:
We’re in all the department stores including Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales, where you can find the select styles.
