Christian Louboutin’s “Nude” Shoes Match Every Skin Color

Shoe maestro Christian Louboutin has expanded his “Nudes” Collection to include new colors and styles.

Louboutin first introduced the Nudes Collection in April 2013 with five different shades that emulated the diverse skin tones of the women who wore his leg-lengthening heels.

The collection offers a spectrum of skin colors ranging from fair (Blush #1) to a rich chestnut (Blush #5), and also offers flats in nappa leather, in addition to Louboutin’s classic pumps.

“I’ve always done a Nude shoe but only using the color beige,” Louboutin said in a blog post. However, it wasn’t until a co-worker noted that “beige is not the color of my skin” that Louboutin realized he needed to expand the Nudes collection to include more diverse shades.
