Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Show is a Roman Affair

Every year, Chanel breaks away from the traditional fashion calendar to host its Métiers d’Art show to honor its artisans and craftsmen who help contribute to the impeccable quality the design house is known for.

The event is staged in a different location each year – like Salzburg, Dallas, and Mumbai previously – to highlight the special efforts of a particular workshop.

For the 2015 Métiers d’Art fashion show, Chanel packed its bags for Roma and transformed the iconic Cinecittà film studio into a retro Parisian street scene from the ‘60s.

Vogue documents the vibe as aParisian street, complete with Metro; boulangerie; and Karl’s bespoke movie house, Cinema Le Paris—all in the brand’s signature black and white.”

Drawing inspiration from early 1960s Italian cinema, Karl Lagerfeld dressed models in tweed suits, sequined Breton tops and ruffled dresses.
From the amazing set to Chanel favorite celebs in attendance, like Kristen Stewart and Bella Hadid, everything was Instagram bait.
