Ballet Arizona’s Fashion & Fizz Brings Ballet to the Runway for the First Time

Cinderella

Ballet Arizona is hosting Fashion & Fizz, a fundraising fashion show at its in-house studio in Phoenix, on October 14 from 4 p.m.–7 p.m. This event is an exclusive opportunity to see the stunning handmade costumes of its dancers up close and personal.

This fashion show fundraiser will give the audience a chance to appreciate the artists behind the costumes worn by Ballet Arizona’s dancers as well as to support the company. Open to anyone over 21 years old, audience members will be able to enjoy cocktails, sparkling wine and conversations while witnessing this inaugural event bringing ballet to the runway.

The Firebird

Part of Ballet Arizona’s mission is to preserve and celebrate classical dance while creating and commissioning new, innovative works so guests will be able to look at costumes ranging from classical tutus to contemporary attire. In addition to seeing the show, guests will have the chance to win a variety of raffle prizes, including certificates for local resorts, restaurants and more.

There are three types of tickets available to purchase, running from $50 to $125. The standard option includes one drink, raffle and show ticket. Guests can opt for the V.I.P. package with two drink tickets, one raffle ticket, food from Clever Koi, as well as access to a lounge room, private bar and exclusive show seating. Premium tickets include everything from the V.I.P. package with the addition of runway seating for the show and a tour of the costume shop.

Romeo & Juliet

This event is presented by the Ballet Arizona’s junior board. The Contemporary Council’s goal is to put on events like Fashion & Fizz to help cultivate a new generation of Ballet supporters and patrons through unique and innovative fundraising opportunities.

“This will be a completely different kind of event for the ballet—equal parts fashion show and cocktail party. For anyone interested in fashion or the arts, this will be a delightful, bubbly evening and a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into these beautiful costumes. We have such an incredible ballet company here in Arizona, and this will be a great way to introduce a new generation to this fantastic arts organization,” Kristin Heggli, vice chair of the Contemporary Council said.
