5 of the Hottest Spring Makeup and Hair looks

Now that Spring is in full swing it’s time to work in some of those amazing beauty trends that made an appearance during the Spring shows. From New York to London, Paris and Milan there were a bevy of wearable looks that are a perfect match for all the trends of the moment.

The one and only Marc Jacobs and his beauty team Francois Nars and Guido Palau never cease to amaze us all. This time inspired by the Seventies Uber Model Jerry Hall, and Jodie Foster from Taxi Driver. Eyes were deep disco inspired shades of loden green with plenty of liner and mascara. The look was topped off with a matte red or stained lip. Then there was the hair…oh the hair.. Palau showed four different looks on 60 models ranging from brushed out curls to set waves that were enough to stop traffic. Get the hair look by winding hair around a small curling iron and brushing out to to create volume.

The gorgeous feminine dresses at Elie Saab were only made more beautiful by the romantic makeup and hair. Lips were a delicate pink paired with flushed cheeks, dewy fresh skin and tousled updo’s. This look is perfect for those carefree summer days when you want to look pulled together but not overly done. Be sure to keep pink hues muted and pastel.

At Valentino- A thick knot of braids a la Rapunzel made a big impact that works with both casual day wear and more formal evening looks. You can copy this style by sectioning the hair into two parts; braid each section right to the end of the hair and secure with a snag-free band. Take each braid and wrap them around each other then secure with bobby pins into a bun.

At Balmain the look was one part fresh off the farm and one part sixties revival. Bangs were cut bluntly and blown out to a smooth finish, while the makeup was kept clean and natural with a swipe of concealer and sheer foundation, a hint of neutral blush and mascara to highlight the eyes.

At Proenza Schouler nude skin was all the rage. The easiest way to get the look is to layer sheer products like tinted moisturizer, luminizing creams and iridescent powder to create the perfect dewy glow. Be sure that the skin is properly prepped with moisturizer or sunscreen prior to applying makeup to ensure a healthy not dry look. Follow with beige eye shadow and a slick of gloss.
