It’s almost time for spring cleaning, which means dusting off shelves, reorganizing closets and that dreaded decluttering. Deciding where to donate your gently used items can be a challenge, especially in today’s market where it feels like there’s too many thrift stores to choose from.

For those in the market to give back to the animals, Daisy’s Rescued Goods might want to be at the top of everyone’s list. The North Scottsdale store, originally known as Foothills Animal Rescue’s Resale Boutique, now has a new name and a newly opened second location in Carefree.
At Daisy’s Rescued Goods, every purchase helps fund the rescue and makes “a direct impact” on the lives of the animals in their care. In 2025 alone, Daisy’s Rescued Goods generated over $1,045,000 in sales, with all proceeds directly supporting Foothills Animal Rescue’s lifesaving work.

“Spring is a natural reset for families,” Chief Advancement Officer Lana Shapiro said. “Parents are clearing out closets; students are refreshing their style and every donation or purchase directly supports animals on their journey to a forever home.”
The boutique accepts new or gently used items dropped off during operating hours. They accept clothing, accessories, home décor, pet supplies, furniture and more. Unsellable items are shared with other animal welfare organizations and nonprofits to maximize impact. Items must be delivered to the store.

If you’re looking to add some new items to your home or wardrobe, Daisy’s Rescued Goods has what you need. As part of the shop’s spring celebration, they’re hosting a sale on March 7, featuring “giveaways, seasonal savings and new arrivals at both locations.”
As part of an ongoing promotion, all high school students will receive 20 percent off their purchases with a valid high school ID. If you’re looking for ways to give back to your community but don’t have anything to donate this spring, consider donating your time – Daisy’s is looking for volunteers to help sort donations and assist shoppers.
