Don’t let the high temps stall you from enjoying your weekend. The annual Tempe Festival of the Arts will showcase more than 400 fine artisans along the Mill Avenue District for three days, March 30-April 1.
And these aren’t just any artists; out of 1,000 applications annually, applicants undergo a selection process from a jusry comprised of members of the local art community, who then place each artist into definitive categories. During the Festival, a new jury then selects the best overall artist and the top artist in each category, resulting in the top 200.
The festival features only original art, and our artists are all present on-site to greet festival attendees. Works of art range from collector masterpieces to affordable art and crafts.
Guests can also enjoy food vendors, live entertainment, street performers and entertainment booths to liven the atmosphere and get your creative juices flowing. Visit the Arizona Wine Festival for tastings and sales by the glass, bottle, or case. And, enjoy The Art of Beer featuring local microbrewery sampling and sales. Kids can make free arts and crafts to take home at Kids Innovation Station. A portion of all proceeds serves to benefit local Tempe charities.
