What inspired you to take part in the Taste of the NFL’s Party with a Purpose? It’s super easy to get behind a cause when you know there’s so many people out there going to bed hungry and that Taste of the NFL’s Party with a Purpose can help.
Any hints as to what you’ll be dishing up at the party? We are doing a Maple Leaf Farms duck breast with fermented black bean sauce. Yum!
Say you’re hosting a Super Bowl party. What dish do you serve to guests? Hands-down, I’d serve my grilled sirloin chili with smoked onion guacamole, tortillas and lime sour cream…definitely a crowd pleaser.
Have you always had a passion for the culinary arts? How did you get your start? I grew up around a family of really good cooks, started cooking in a professional kitchen when I was 14 but it wasn’t until I was about 20 when people started to compliment me on my culinary creations and skills and that’s when I decided to take it seriously.
What do you love most about what you do? As a chef, you find yourself right smack in the middle of everybody’s party and to me, that’s the best place to be.
What are your goals for the coming year? To expand our company and bring more concepts to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
What food bank are you representing? North Texas Food Bank
And a few fun faves…
