5 Places for Summer Sangria in Phoenix

For me, the best drink to have on those hot summer days or nights is a light, sweet and chilled glass of Spanish sangria. No need to head to Europe or slave away trying to mix all the needed ingredients, a pitcher of sweet sangria is at your fingertips and close to home…

Sol y Sombra
Aaron May’s Sol y Sombra in Scottsdale’s DC Ranch was created based off of the distinct authenticity of Catalonia and the vibrant energy of Barcelona. It’s no secret that Sol y Sombra is worldly chic and one of Arizona Foothills’ favorites. The food is tapas-style and traditional sangria is served by the glass or in pitchers. Choose from either Garnacha Tinto de Valenica (red) or Malvasia Blanco de Valencia (white). Salud!

  1. i went to Sol Y Sombra when it first openend and was so disapointed by the sangria since it was just sweet wine basically. nio chunk of fruit. maybe its the authenti way to go, but i love my shunks of fruit in sangria. makes it way more fun.

  2. Never heard of Lola Tapas has anyone else been there? Kind of out of the way for me in Ahwatukee but would be willing to check it out.

  3. The sangria at Sangria’s (59th Ave & Utopia, Glendale) is truly worth a drive from anywhere in the Valley to try it. Perfect blend of ingredients and fruit! It makes my mouth water just thinking about the last one I had there.
