Chandler is set to transform into a hub of creativity and community on April 16, as the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership hosts its monthly Third Thursday art market from 6 to 9 p.m.: a free, family-friendly event spotlighting local makers, artists and small businesses.
Timed near Earth Day, this month’s edition leans into sustainability with more than 40 vendors offering vintage, thrifted, handmade and upcycled goods. The walkable market encourages guests to explore eco-conscious fashion and art while supporting Valley-based creators.

In addition to shopping, attendees will be invited to tap into their own creativity with a paint-your-own tote bag activity hosted at the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership booth. The first 50 guests will receive a free bag, and all visitors are encouraged to bring their own tote bag to decorate with provided supplies.

“This month’s market is a great opportunity to not just uplift Valley businesses and artists, but sustainably build your closet and keep high-quality clothing out of landfills,” Event Manager Maddi Miloscia said. “It is also our hope that through customizing a tote during our event, guests might feel more inspired and incentivized to bring it along for their next grocery run as a reusable shopping bag.”
The evening will also feature a vinyl record swap, giving music lovers a chance to trade, discover and connect over new and classic sounds. A raffle will add an extra layer of excitement, with shoppers receiving entries for every purchase from participating vendors for a chance to win a $100 Downtown Chandler gift card.

Beyond shopping and crafts, the event will bring entertainment to the streets, including an aerialist performance by Sabrina Forbes and a live DJ set from Jules Quimby.
Held monthly from October through May, Third Thursday has become a signature Downtown Chandler experience, turning the area into a walkable open-air gallery filled with art, music and interactive experiences. For more information, visit downtownchandler.org.
