Summer in Old Town Scottsdale is about to get even more vibrant with the return of June Days, the city’s signature monthlong celebration of community, culture, and local business. This annual event offers a diverse mix of experiences designed to showcase everything the area has to offer, from artisanal food and drink to art, wellness, and live entertainment.
The calendar is packed with daily experiences that include wine tastings, art exhibits, yoga sessions, market mornings, and much more. Many of the events are free, encouraging the community to explore Old Town in an accessible and exciting way, much like other city staples, such as Western Week and Scottsdazzle.
Among this year’s highlights is the Tournament of Treats, a city-wide online contest where frozen treat lovers can vote for their favorite summer indulgences. Participating locations include AZ Froze, Jenni’s Splendid Ice Creams, and Sweet Republic, with voters entered to win gift cards to these local hotspots.
Families and history buffs alike can enjoy Stories and Sweets, a weekly series hosted at the Scottsdale Community Design Studio. Taking place each Tuesday evening in June, Scottsdale Citizen Advisor Bruce Wall will share historical tales from the city’s pioneer days, paired with complimentary treats from local bakeries such as Chin Up Donuts and Ruze Cake House.
Wellness enthusiasts will enjoy Morning Yoga with Lululemon at the Scottsdale Civic Center, led by local ambassadors Patty Tapia and Shawnee Williams. Breakfast at the Market invites early risers to explore artisan vendors and live music every Saturday morning.
Film lovers can cool down at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West with The Cool Frontier, a spaghetti Western movie series running throughout June. The series celebrates the evolution of the Western film genre with eight iconic movies, all screened at 2 p.m.
For fans of nostalgia, the 2000s Trivia Night at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art promises a lively evening that tests guests’ knowledge of pop culture from the turn of the millennium.
Sports fans will have the rare opportunity to explore the iconic Scottsdale Stadium with guided tours offered on June 13 and 14. For a slower-paced experience, the “Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” watch party at the Civic Center Library offers an informative look into global longevity, paired with wellness activities such as guided stretch breaks and mindfulness exercises.
Music lovers won’t want to miss the Mary Chapin Carpenter concert on June 22 at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The Grammy-winning artist will perform fan favorites, joined by fellow musician Brandy Clark.
Beyond the main events, June Days also features nightly karaoke at The Grapevine, weekend gatherings at Hotel Valley Ho, and a lineup of ongoing exhibitions and specials. Notable happenings include: Summer-themed yoga nights at Barre3 Old Town; live music brunches at Belle’s Nashville Kitchen; Beans and Booze Happy Hour at Yellow Spruce Roasters and exclusive deals like $20 off JoyridesAZ’s gelato tours and discounts at W Hotel.
Additional participating businesses such as Brush Bar, Not My First Rodeo, Poisoned Pen, and Wonderspaces will also offer unique experiences or promotions throughout the month. To view the complete schedule of events and plan your visit, go to oldtownscottsdaleaz.com.
