“Handbags for Hope” Luncheon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

My fellow fashion gals, this is a must-attend Valley event in so many ways! The Stars of Hope will host its Fourth Annual Handbags for Hope luncheon on February 17, 2011, featuring a celebrity bag auction and Tory Burch fashion show. So, yes, come for the incredible fashion, but more importantly, take part in an event that will benefit the organization that works to find cures for children with caner–St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Guests will also have the chance to hear a compelling story from local St. Jude patient Alyssa, who is fighting a rare benign brain tumor.

The Beautiful Bags
Be prepared to bid on handbags, vintage purses and hard-to-find bags. The Handbags for Hope silent auction will showcase new and vintage designer hand bags as well as a number of other exclusive prizes. Designers to be showcased during the silent auction include Isabella Fiore, J.J. Winters, Glenda Gies, Be & D, Louis Vuitton, handbags signed by celebrities like Naomi and Wynonna Judd, Miranda Cosgrove, Emma Stone and many more!

The luncheon, taking place at The Country Club at DC Ranch, will be highlighted by a fashion show presented by designer Tory Burch.

Stars of Hope committee member Lisa Mailliard, mother of former St. Jude patient Nicky Mailliard, started Handbags for Hope in hopes to spread awareness for St. Jude and its life-saving work. “What sets St. Jude apart from other hospitals is the benchmark primary research it conducts,” says Mailliard. “By conducting on-premise research with thousands of case studies, St. Jude allows for the best treatment options for catastrophic illnesses that will benefit not only St. Jude kids, but ultimately filter down to support children at all local hospitals.”

The event is sponsored by Fry’s Food Stores, Eminess Technologies, Tory Burch, Gowen Girls,  Nicky Mailliard Fund, Shaw Center, Pinnacle Bank and HPN Global.
