Boss babes get ready to connect, collaborate and get inspired at the must attend networking event of the season! Dames Collective Phoenix will be hosting their very first Arizona Morning MindFUEL event this Friday March 16 at Huss Brewing from 8am – 10:30am. Dames Collective Morning MindFUEL, a twist on the classic networking meeting, will feature a discussion on what it means to be a modern female founder from a powerhouse panel followed by a Q&A and mingling with fellow fempreneurs. The listen and learn mixer comes complete with yummy snacks, Press coffee and mimosas (yes, please). Check out the three amazing #GirlBoss speakers on the bill for Friday:
As one half of the namesake brewery that she owns with her husband Jeff, Leah Huss is a pioneer in the Arizona craft brewing scene, quickly growing her brewery from a startup in 2014, to the third largest local, independent brewery in the state in 2018. Growing up in central Illinois before moving to the Valley to attend the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Leah quickly found her path in craft beer, managing and owning Papago Brewing Company for more than 14 years, before setting her sights on something a bit more personal – a brewery that bears her name, with major retail presence statewide and three taprooms around the Valley, including Tempe, Uptown Plaza and in downtown Phoenix at DeSoto Central Market.
Alex is co-founder of The Sparkle Bar, Arizona’s first full-service makeup studio, where she is responsible for executing financial projections, implementing business plans and leading marketing objectives for the brand. Alex is an experienced, dynamic sales and marketing professional with a lifelong passion for makeup and beauty (as a self-proclaimed ‘makeup junkie’), which she brings to her role at TSB. Her passion for meeting new people, developing new relationships and bringing the best talent, products and processes to The Sparkle Bar makes her a perfect complement to her creative Co-Founder Leiah Scheibel.
Julie leads human resources operations for Tuft & Needle, a Phoenix-based mattress company that believes people come first. Working with employees and company leaders, Julie provides strategic advisory services across the HR field – everything from process implementation to talent acquisition strategies and on-boarding, performance management, and internal communication. Her past experience includes leadership at companies like PetSmart, Target and Kona Grill. She also enjoys long naps…which is ideal considering she works for a mattress company.
