Egyptian Motor Hotel, the recently opened eclectic boutique hotel located along historic Grand Ave., has launched a new to-go menu by its flagship restaurant, Chilte, bringing guests new ways to enjoy the Phoenix-based Mexican street food concept’s new-wave Sinaloan and Oaxacan fare.
Guests can now order Chilte’s innovative bites, including green chili popcorn, Chilte-style burgers, chorizo and more, from the comfort of their own room or while watching the many live shows and performances at the hotel’s marquee bar and entertainment venue, Egyptian LIVE.
Named one of the best restaurants in the country by InsideHook, Chilte has captivated the Phoenix food scene with its beloved Mexican street food fare, which gained a following through its food truck and pop-ups across town.
In January 2023, Chilte opened its first brick-and-mortar location within the resurrected Egyptian Motor Hotel and continues to offer guests unique dishes. The restaurant is co-owned by Chef Lawrence Smith, a former NFL athlete and 2022 Top Chef runner-up, and his fiancée, Aseret Arroyo, whose influence growing up with Sinaloan food pairs with Smith’s experience working at numerous fine dining restaurants to create Chilte’s avant-garde menu that isn’t afraid to push boundaries.
Guests can now place orders from the Chilte to-go menu via QR codes located across the property and in guest rooms, which are picked up at the new Chilte To-Go window outside of the restaurant.
Chilte To-Go menu highlights include:
CHILTE POPCORN: House blend of green chili cheddar and caramel — $4
CHIPS & GUAC: House-charred tomatillo guacamole and corn tortilla chips — $13
