Arizona Boardwalk is taking another step in its evolution from a one-day attraction to a destination designed for extended family vacations.
The entertainment complex officially broke ground for the new Arizona Boardwalk Hyatt Place at Talking Stick, a four-story, 142-room hotel that will be built adjacent to the attraction within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Scheduled to open in 2027, the hotel is expected to make it easier for visitors to spend multiple days exploring the area’s growing collection of attractions.
The project reflects increasing demand from families and travelers who visit Arizona Boardwalk from across Arizona and beyond, many of whom are looking for more time to experience everything the destination and the surrounding Talking Stick Entertainment District have to offer.
The hotel will feature 142 guest rooms along with amenities including a lobby bar and lounge, breakfast and dining area, meeting space, fitness center, outdoor pool and approximately 230 parking spaces.
Its design will also pay tribute to its location within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community by incorporating architectural elements inspired by the cultural heritage. Guests will be greeted by a signature aquarium, a nod to neighboring OdySea Aquarium.
The new hotel will be located along Loop 101 in the heart of the Talking Stick Entertainment District, placing guests within minutes of destinations including Talking Stick Resort, Talking Stick Golf Club, Topgolf, PopStroke, KTR, Mavrix, Medieval Times and iFLY Indoor Skydiving. The location is expected to create new opportunities for overnight vacation packages while providing a convenient home base for families exploring the area.
The Hyatt Place will serve as the entrance to nearly 50 additional acres earmarked for future family-friendly attractions, restaurants, retail and entertainment, further cementing the destination’s role as one of the Southwest’s largest entertainment hubs.
Designed by Deutsch Architecture Group and built by Layton Construction, the Arizona Boardwalk Hyatt Place at Talking Stick is projected to welcome its first guests in late 2027. Learn more at azboardwalk.com.
