Placemakr Expands to Arizona with New Pop-Up Property in Downtown Phoenix

Placemakr, a flexible-use hospitality and multifamily platform, has officially entered the Arizona market with the launch of a new pop-up property in downtown Phoenix. Located on Central Avenue, the 120-unit offering brings Placemakr’s blend of apartment living and boutique hotel experiences to the city.

Developed by GMH, the Phoenix property is part of a larger 769-unit complex and features a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Designed to cater to a modern class of traveler, the building offers full amenities: a pool, outdoor terrace, fitness center, and co-working spaces, all within walking distance of the Phoenix Convention Center, Chase Field, and the Footprint Center.

“We’re excited to be making our debut in Phoenix and continuing to grow across the Southwest,” CEO and Co-founder Jason Fudin said. “It’s a great market with a lot of energy, and this building gives us a chance to deliver the kind of flexible, hospitality-style experience our guests are looking for in a city that really blends business and leisure travel. GMH has a history of placing amenity-rich buildings near bustling university hubs, and this project is just another example of their talented execution.”

The Phoenix pop-up is tailored for the growing segment of “bleisure” travelers – those who combine business trips with leisure experiences – as well as vacationers seeking downtown access with the convenience of apartment-style accommodations. With flexible stays ranging from one night to one year, the property caters to everyone from short-term visitors to extended-stay guests.

This launch follows Placemakr’s recent expansions into San Antonio, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, and other high-growth urban markets. The company continues to build a strong portfolio of pop-up and permanent properties designed to meet evolving travel and living needs. Learn more at placemakr.com.
