The Desert Ridge Draw

With easy access to world-class shopping, dining, recreation, healthcare and arts venues, Desert Ridge has drawn in several developers as of late who are embarking on high-end residential projects in the bustling area.

DeLuxe Living

The Statesman Group released the second phase of sales this summer at The Luxe, a luxury condo community. (Two additional phases are planned.) The $145-million project is slated to have 223 units at build-out sitting within six four-story buildings and ranging from 1,636 to 2,281 square feet. Each residence within The Luxe features open living spaces; kitchens with built-in ovens and oversized islands; walk-in closets; enclosed underground parking; and some of the largest condo patios in the Valley. Resort-style living is at each resident’s fingertips with a state-of-the-art fitness center and a clubhouse featuring all the bells and whistles: a wine room, a movie theater, a game area, a conference room and more. For some fun under the sun, The Luxe will have two heated pools with cabanas, an outdoor kitchen, a beer garden-inspired space and other alfresco amenities. But the luxury doesn’t stop there as the destination will also offer a range of on-site services like a white-glove concierge, a full-time lifestyle director, a Member Services team member and an exclusive VIP program. The Luxe is priced from the high $600,000s. theluxecondoliving.com

The Montreux will be comprised of 335 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments ranging in size from 805 to 1,518 square feet within a trio of buildings. Statesman is nearing completion on the first phase; the project will have 143 residences in total and a lineup of resort-style amenities. The entire product is expected to be delivered by the end of this year. Rental pricing from $1,475 per month. rentmontreux.com.

Future’s So Bright…

Crown Realty & Development has started construction on what is coined the “City of the Future” at the 100-acre property that surrounds High Street. A live, work, play community, City North will ultimately have a multifamily residential component that will consist of 2,600 units and will comprise 32 acres of the City North development joining Class A offices and other uses in the Desert Ridge area. In addition, the area is zoned for 620 hotel rooms and 100,000 square feet of retail. During this first phase of development, a 160,000-sq.-ft., four-story office building and 250 multifamily residential units will be developed. A formal groundbreaking is planned for October. citynorthdesertridge.com.

“With condominium living in such high demand around the Valley, homeowners are not only drawn to the resort-style and lock-and-leave living that these communities tend to offer but those that go above and beyond the standard, like The Luxe. As one of the only luxury condominium communities of its kind in the Valley, homeowners have direct access to the great dining, shopping and entertainment at High Street and Desert Ridge Marketplace, plus a full-time, an on-site concierge and lifestyle director who can take care of those small inconveniences like making reservations, scheduling appointments and booking transportation. In addition, the Desert Ridge neighborhood continues to gain national attention as major employers and developments like Mayo Clinic, Nationwide and the coming-soon City North project open in the area. With easy access to major freeways and high-paying employment opportunities, the area continues to attract young and established working professionals, second homeowners and retirees that are looking to be far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Scottsdale while still be connected to all the city has to offer.” –Alana Mann, president and owner of The Statesman Group
