Rihanna Rented This Paradise Valley Home for $500K During Super Bowl Week

When she wasn’t rehearsing or performing her iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show at State Farm Stadium, Rihanna was crashing at a Paradise Valley home that she rented from a man for $500,000 that week.

According to Wall Street Journal, the 6,400-square-foot, five-bedroom house is owned by 48-year-old cybersecurity expert, Spyro Malaspinas, who bought the home for $7.3 million in 2022.

When Malaspinas was first contacted about leasing his home for a week, he wasn’t so sure about the idea. However, when a property management firm he had hired for a different property called with the anonymous renter’s offer at the time, he couldn’t pass it up.

“My pride’s not that big. I don’t mind moving out for $500,000 a week,” Malaspinas told WSJ

It wasn’t until after Malaspinas agreed to rent his home that he learned Rihanna was the mystery tenant looking for a place to stay during her big week as the halftime headliner—news that came as a thrilling surprise for his 13-year-old daughter.

While Malaspinas hasn’t moved back into the home since renting to the star, he says that the rental will cover his mortgage payments for two years and that he has received many offers to sell the property.

The home, which sits on roughly an acre in the affluent Paradise Valley community, features a stunning pool and waterfall display, open living spaces, a modern kitchen with gold accents and many other luxurious features that make it fit for a celeb such as Rihanna herself.
