From sitting in on custom kitchenware seminars to walking around a tiny home cul-de-sac, the Maricopa County Home & Garden Show is sure to inspire your next home DIY project. During the event, shop the best-priced home improvement, design and landscaping products from local small businesses, vendors and artisans at WestWorld of Scottsdale from May 5–7 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Various seminars will take place at the event where master gardeners will teach guests everything there is to know to maintain a blooming garden. From learning the best locations to place succulents to finding out which plants bloom in each season, the Master Gardening Seminars teach the fundamentals of gardening.
Throughout the entire event, guests can learn a new craft at Handmade Headquarters. From stenciling a custom design onto a reusable tote bag to laser-cutting a wooden family tree, Handmade Headquarters provides guests with free-make-and-take crafts.
The HGTV host of My Lottery Dream House, David Bromstad, will conduct a live stage presentation on both Saturday and Sunday of the event. During his presentation, Bromstad will share his journey of getting into home design and provide the audience with meaningful home and garden tips that he learned along the way.
“We’re excited for David Bromstad to share his crazy journey & expertise in home design on Saturday and Sunday,” says Katie Jones, Maricopa County Home & Garden Show’s manager. “Additionally, this spring show will also feature numerous home DIY inspirations and a variety of free make-and-take crafting classes all while shopping and supporting small local businesses and artisans.”
General admission is $10 per day for adults and $3 for children ages 3–12. Children 2 and under are free. On Fridays from 10 a.m.–12 p.m., guests 60 and older receive the special senior morning admission fee of $2. Parking is an additional $10 fee and all bags must be clear.
