Roosevelt Row is getting a new neighborhood destination that promises to be as much about community as it is about great food. This fall, Ray Phoenix will debut Del Ray, an all-day grocer, café and wine bar designed to serve residents, visitors and locals looking for a place to grab breakfast, pick up pantry essentials or unwind with a glass of wine.

Located on the ground floor of the recently opened Ray Phoenix residential building, Del Ray expands the property’s vision of creating spaces where art, culture and everyday life naturally intersect. Rather than functioning as a traditional convenience market or coffee shop, the 1,300-square-foot concept is designed to become an extension of the Roosevelt Row neighborhood.
Helping shape that vision is chef, author and culinary tastemaker Pierce Abernathy, who joins the project as culinary consultant. Known for his seasonal, plant-forward cooking and his cookbook Every Leaf, Every Stem, Abernathy has collaborated with Del Ray’s operating partner to refine the menu, source standout Arizona purveyors and create a signature dish available exclusively at the café.

Visitors will also find “Pierce’s Picks,” a collection of pantry staples personally selected by Abernathy, giving shoppers the chance to take home some of his favorite ingredients and products. Colby Mugrabi serves as creative director, while Rachel Krupa, founder of The Goods Mart, is lending her expertise to shape the market’s retail identity and product sourcing.
Together, the team is creating an experience that blends local brands, emerging makers and familiar household favorites with an emphasis on quality. Designed in collaboration with Parts and Labor Design, Del Ray’s interiors continue the artistic spirit that defines Ray Phoenix.

The market will stock snacks, grab-and-go meals, beverages, essentials, personal care items and home goods, making it easy for neighbors to stop in whether they’re picking up dinner ingredients or discovering something unexpected. For residents of Ray Phoenix, the market will be accessible around the clock, while the café will welcome the public daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ray Phoenix will also introduce the second location of Studio 105, an exhibition and cultural programming space that builds on the success of its Philadelphia counterpart. Co-curated by Sonya Tamaddon, RAY founder Dasha Zhukova and creative director Suzanne Demisch, Studio 105 will feature rotating exhibitions, artist talks, workshops and events.

The inaugural exhibition will showcase new paintings by a local artist whose work already appears throughout Ray Phoenix’s amenity spaces, further reinforcing the development’s commitment to supporting Arizona’s creative community. Del Ray and Studio 105 show that design, food and art can transform everyday spaces into neighborhood gathering places. Learn more at rayphoenix.place.
