From immersive installations to thoughtfully curated interiors, these standout presentations captured the spirit of Milan Design Week 2026.

Alcova

Set between a Rationalist villa and a former military hospital, Alcova once again proved why it remains one of Milan Design Week’s most anticipated destinations. Bringing together more than 130 designers, brands and schools, the exhibition transformed these historic spaces into a laboratory for experimentation, material exploration and contemporary design.

Buccellati: Aquae Mirabiles

Buccellati’s immersive installation invited visitors into a mythological underwater world. Inspired by the Maison’s iconic Caviar collection and designed in collaboration with Luke Edward Hall, the experience blended Italian history, marine symbolism and masterful silver craftsmanship through a series of dreamlike environments.

Interni Venosta: Interno Italiano

Housed within a rarely seen Osvaldo Borsani-designed apartment, Interni Venosta’s installation explored the dialogue between historic and contemporary design. New furnishings and objects were thoughtfully integrated throughout the residence, creating a seamless conversation between past and present.

Kelly Wearstler’s debut collaboration with H&M HOME translated her signature California aesthetic into an accessible collection of furniture, lighting and decorative objects. Sculptural forms, rich materials and warm tones brought a modern residential sensibility to the 17th-century Baroque Palazzo Acerbi.

L’Artisan Parfumeur: L’Appartement

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, L’Artisan Parfumeur transformed a Milanese apartment into an immersive world of scent and storytelling. Created with designer Antoine Billore, the installation combined upcycled furnishings, collected objects and fragrance to blur the boundaries between exhibition and home.

Mutina x Josef & Anni Albers Foundation

Drawing inspiration from Josef Albers’ infamous Homage to the Square series, Mutina translated the artist’s exploration of color into ceramic surfaces. The collaboration demonstrated how timeless artistic ideas can continue to influence contemporary architecture, interiors and design.
